Our Newest Family Addition

We would like you to meet Laffy Taffy, Taffy for short. She is a 2 month old Guinea pig. Angel loves her to pieces. She sits by her cage and reads. Taffy lives in Angels room and is her responsibility. Figured she could start with a low maintenance pet. Taffy is very active for a pig.
We think she is a very cute addition to our family. She fits right in with Bella the German Shepherd and Missy the cat. Even though we have to keep all of them apart. Bella loves to chase Missy and we are sure Missy would love to get a hold of Taffy.

END OF 2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR!!

Final Day of School 2008!!

It is so hard to believe that school is already out for the summer. It seems like they just started. Or maybe it just doesn't feel like summer yet. Angel has passed thru to the fourth grade. We are very proud of her. She had an outstanding report card. At the end of the year assembly she was recognized for several accomplishments through out the year. She helped out in the library, was a ribbon winner in the all school timed math testing and recieved a nice award for being an outstanding helper. The last award was given by the school custodian, Linda. Angel gave up her recess time to help clean the school grounds and hallways. She really enjoyed the time she spent with Linda. Linda taught all her helpers to be reponsible, caring and giving. Linda was a true role model for all our students and teachers alike.

Our trip to Iowa has been cancelled. We were going to start out on July 6th with my parents. We were going to pull our trailers and see many wonderful sights along the way. However, we thought it best to stay away due to the misfortune that Mother Nature has bestowed on them. If you haven't heard, Iowa is under water and it is going to take a very long time for them to recover from this. We are still heading out on July 6th but now we are heading south instead of east. We are going to take only 2-3 weeks instead of a month and a half. We will be seeing the sites along the Oregon coast. There are many lighthouses to see, Tillamook cheese factory to tour, aquariums and beach combing to do. We are looking forward to getting away. Maybe we can go to Iowa next year.

Mom and Dad I love you very much and I thank God for you every day. Thanks for the gifts and especially for your love.

Angels 3rd grade final concert

Thought I would share a couple of pictures from the final concert of the year. It was last evening. They combined the third and fourth grades this year. The third graders sang and the fourth graders played the recorder and sang. It was better then I expected. Not too much high squeeking on the recorders. I don't look forward to that next year!! May have to invest in a good set of ear plugs.

Mark's Nerve Test

Good news!!! Mark went and had a nerve conduction test and it showed that he does no have permanent nerve damage. We are happy about that. This Friday he goes to have a specialized MRI done. They are doing it over 4 different areas in the neck and spine and will take at least 2 hours. Sounds like too much fun for one day!! Will let you all know the results as soon as we know them. Keep praying!!
